Courmayeur is a traditional Italian mountaineering town on the sunny South side of Mont Blanc. The pedestrianised centre is a maze of old narrow cobbled streets with plenty of small hotels and pensions. Courmayeur has a busy nightlife with an extensive choice of bars and restaurants – from pizzas to 12-course menus.
The resort skiing is mainly intermediate, with more advance skiing at the top of the two-stage cable car at the Cresta d’Arp. There is also some fantastic tree skiing with just over 100km of pisted runs available (not including the Mt. Blanc connection).
